Use Instructions

1. After each milking wash and brush off thoroughly any external soiling and hose down with clean water. Apply jetters to teat cups. Flush the system through with clean cold or warm water to remove all residual milk traces, running to waste.
2. Run the required quantity of hot water (at approx 85°C) into the wash trough, adding CIP C EXTRA at the rate of 200ml per 40L of water (8fl.oz/10 gal). Draw this solution into the plant until it discharges hot from the return line before allowing the solution to circulate. Aim to achieve an initial circulating water temperature of 77-82°C. Circulation for up to 10 minutes before running to waste. The temperature of the returning water should not be allowed to fall below 54°C during circulation.
3. Thoroughly rinse the plant with clean cold water to which may be added IMD Hypochlorite at the rate of 20ml to 40L of water if required. Allow to drain thoroughly.
Descale Routine:
In hard water areas a monthly descale routine should be carried out (at more frequent intervals if required) to avoid the build up of scale and milkstone. IMD Milkstone Remover should be circulated at a rate of 9ml/L (3/4 pint to 10 gals) in warm or cold water. Alternatively, where CIP C EXTRA is used in hot water as a morning wash, IMD Acidbrite, a powerful liquid acidic detergent can be used at every evening wash. Used in warm or cold water at a concentration of 200ml/40L of water (8fl.oz/10 gallons) it will eliminate the need for a separate descale routine.
